Troy — Fitness Therapy Unlimited, a Michigan-based business solely dedicated to the growing health and rehabilitation field of fitness therapy, on Thursday moved its headquarters from Southfield to Troy. The company’s professional Fitness Therapists help individuals facing injuries from automobile and work-related accidents, other traumatic events and illnesses to reclaim independence and move “onward” in their lives by making rehabilitation, fitness and healthy living as convenient as possible.

Fitness Therapy Unlimited professionals work with clients at their homes, community centers, gyms and other locations in client communities across Oakland County and throughout the state, from Metro Detroit to the Flint, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo areas. Many clients choose fitness therapy to continue improving their health after physical therapy regimens come to an end.

Since the start of this year, Fitness Therapy Unlimited already has hired four additional staff members, growing its employee ranks to 20. In moving to Troy, the company nearly tripled the size of its office space to more than 1,400 square feet. The new office is at 3250 W. Big Beaver Road.

“Fitness therapy is often the only solution for automobile accident victims and others facing chronic injuries or illnesses who want to continue improving their overall health and fitness after physical therapy ends,” said Fitness Therapy Unlimited founder and Western Michigan University graduate Greg Kirk, who started the company in 2006. “We created Fitness Therapy Unlimited to fill a void and since then, we’ve helped clients across Michigan move onward from their injuries to lead healthier lives.”

Fitness Therapy Unlimited’s industry-leading mobile rehabilitation offerings include both land-based and aquatic therapy.
