FARMINGTON HILLS — Beringea LLC’s Eagle Rock Entertainment has been sold to Universal Music Group for an undisclosed sum, according to company officials.  The company first invested in Eagle Rock Entertainment in May 2007.  Beringea, which includes Michigan-based Beringea LLC and its London, UK office Beringea LLP, invests in portfolio companies operating in a range of sectors, including health care, clean technology, manufacturing, media, Internet technologies, and specialized consumer products.

In conjunction with the 100 percent sale of Eagle Rock Entertainment, Eagle-I Music Ltd. has been spun out as a separately owned and operated company, in which the Beringea LLP funds continue to hold an interest.
