Dermatologist Joins Botsford Hospital Medical Team

FARMINGTON HILLS — Angela M. Clay, D.O., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills.

Dr. Clay specializes in preventive skin care and in the management of common skin conditions and procedures, including laser, chemical peels, sclerotherapy for varicose veins and spider veins, hand rejuvenation, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and skin surgery.

Dr. Clay received her medical education from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. She completed a one-year internship at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center in Trenton and the three-year dermatology residency at Botsford. During her third-year as a resident, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology selected Dr. Clay as recipient of its Daniel Koprince Award, the highest honor for a resident in dermatology and greatly coveted accolade reserved for one outstanding resident case presentation per year.

A frequent lecturer, Dr. Clay has delivered case presentations and has had several scientific articles published in professional journals. Each year, she gives back to the community by volunteering at area hospitals to provide free skin cancer screenings for people who are uninsured or underinsured.

Dr. Clay is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Osteopathic Association. She will work at the Middlebelt Dermatology Center in Farmington Hills.
