Troy – Scott Shuptrine Interiors launched its design services at the third annual CRUSH Northern Michigan Wine & Food Classic on July 30 by raising over $75,000 for Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.

Nearly 150 people attended the event hosted by Art Van Elslander at his private Bay Harbor residence and aboard Motor Yacht Pepper XIII, featuring an elegant and chic ambiance in a picturesque setting on Bay Harbor Lake. The nautical themed evening offered guests a second-to-none experience, including the opportunity to try extraordinary wines paired with regional cuisine and dancing under the stars to Simone Vitale Band.

“Due to the generosity of Mr. Van Elslander and Art Van Furniture, the event was fully underwritten, allowing 100% of contributions to support Children’s Leukemia Foundation,” said William Seklar, President and CEO of Children’s Leukemia Foundation. “The lifeline provided to CLF through the continued support of the Million Dollar Charity Challenge has been vital and game-changing to our organization.”

VanElslander was presented with the 2011 CRUSH Humanitarian Award at the event. “I am extremely honored to have been fortunate enough to make a difference in the lives of families affected with leukemia,” said Van Elslander.
