APACC Honors Asian Business Leaders at Award Dinner on Oct. 7 at MotorCity Casino Hotel

DETROIT, Sept. 28, 2010 — The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce will be recognizing Asian business professionals and Asian-owned businesses who have achieved notable success and outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields of industry at APACC’s Salute to Excellence Award Dinner on Thursday, October 7, 2010, from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the MotorCity Casino Hotel, located at 2901 Grand River Ave., Detroit, Michigan. The title sponsor is DTE Energy and the event sponsor is PNC Bank.

In the category of Asian Business Professionals, the honorees are: Betty Chu, M.D. – Medical Staff President, Troy Beaumont Hospital; Michelle D’Souza, President & CEO, Unified Business Technologies, Inc.; Tel Ganesan, CEO, Kyyba, Inc.; Udesh Kaul, Director, Global Supply Management, Delphi Corporation; Jin-Kyu Koh, Office Managing Member, Dykema Gossett PLLC; Ryan Rosario, Owner, State Farm Insurance Agency; and Nagji Sutariya, President & CEO, Saturn Electronics Corporation. In the category of Asian-Owned Business, the honorees are: FutureNet Group, Inc.; HTC Global Services; KC Integrated Services; and Lakeshore Engineering Services, Inc.

Wallace K. Tsuha, Chairman and CEO of Saturn Electronics & Engineering, Inc. will be the keynote speaker and his speech topic is “Capitalizing on the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010.” He will share his personal perspectives of the Act and accessing capital from financial institutions.

“We are thrilled to honor such an impressive list of Asian business leaders in Southeast Michigan who have contributed to our economy and demonstrated leadership in support of the Asian business community,” said Denise Yee Grim, Executive Director of APACC. “The keynote address from Mr. Tsuha’s will be relevant to today’s issues of financial challenges small businesses face.”

Early registration fees for APACC members are $65.00 per person (a table of eight is $500.00); non-member fees are $75.00 per person (a table of eight is $600.00). On September 30th, registration fees for APACC members rise to $75.00 per person (a table of eight is $600.00); and $85.00 per person for non-members (a table of eight is $700.00).
