Grand Prixmiere Benefits Belle Isle Conservancy

Date

Jun 1, 2012

Description

The 2012 Grand Prixmiere will be the toast of the town with its signature launch party on June 1 for the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix kicking off a weekend of races. The evening, hosted by the Belle Isle Conservancy, will welcome an eclectic crowd of Grand Prix drivers, racing officials, and team owners alongside the movers and shakers from Metro Detroit and across the country.

The Grand Prixmiere will benefit the newly formed Belle Isle Conservancy and supports the group’s mission to protect, preserve, restore and enhance Belle Isle Park now and forever.  The Grand Prixmiere promises to be THE party of race weekend.
The most memorable party of the summer starts with a VIP Reception at  forty-two degrees north where guests will enjoy the panoramic view of Detroit’s riverfront — from Belle Isle Park to the Ambassador Bridge — and have an opportunity to meet some of the world’s best Grand Prix drivers. The party continues with a general reception in GM Showplace and a fabulous dinner and program featuring driver interviews in the spectacular Wintergarden. Guests will experience racing firsthand at the race-inspired Afterglow, before the checkered flag drops.

Honorary chairs Sarah and Tony Earley, Kathy and Roger Penske, Jim Campbell and Kim and Mark Reuss invite you to join them for a night you won’t want to end.
