Italian Automotive Supplier ED GROUP Sets up Operations in Michigan

tTroy, Mich., May 25, 2012 — ED GROUP, an Italian Automotive company, is proud to announce its introduction into the North America market. The company provides Test Systems for Electronics Modules and Engineering Services to support every step of product development.

t“Since January 2011 we started to analyze the North America Market and the possibility of supporting all of the automotive companies, including our current worldwide customers located in the USA,” said ED GROUP’s Owner and CEO, Mr. Davide Pizzorno.

tED USA’s mission is to contribute at the technological evolution underway within the automotive industry. “For these reasons I’m proud to bring our knowledge and our experience to create an American company with American employees for American products,” Pizzorno says.

tED Design was born in 1998 and focuses on electrical and electronic design. During the years the company became a FIAT Tier1 supplier, its knowledge base grew on several fronts, including body, chassis, and exterior and interior trim work.

tED Design supplies engineering services: sketch, 3D modeling, CAD design, analysis and cost reduction benchmarking, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, and analysis FEM. In 2010 ED Design bought HEXAcom Group and Geas (1982), two prestigious companies that specialize on Test Systems production for Electronic Components.

tHEXAcom directly collaborates with universities on business development needs, not only for the automotive market, but also in medical areas. GEAS produces test systems for the specific needs of the customers and collaborates directly with them to develop specific standards that ensure a high level of quality.

tWith the acquisition, ED GROUP is able to support its customers on multiple levels, especially for electrical and electronic components. The company also works directly with Oakland University in Rochester Hills on various initiatives. “Our forecast”, said Mr. Pizzorno, “ is to hire 25 employees by the end of 2012, and we plan to have 50 employees in 2013. We have strong faith in the hard work ethic and the quality of American workers.”
