The Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit will honor Detroit mayor Mike Duggan with the Edward H. McNamara Goodfellow of the Year Award at the charity's 29th annual Tribute Breakfast at 8 a.m. on September 25 at the Cobo Center.

WJR, a major sponsor of the event, will broadcast portions of the breakfast live during the Paul W. Smith Show. Paul W. Smith will also serve as the program's emcee.

The Edward H. McNamara Award is a prestigious honor presented to distinguished and noteworthy individuals who have significantly contributed to the community. Born and raised in Detroit and having spent his entire career in the city, including serving as Deputy Wayne County Executive under Ed McNamara from 1987 to 2000, Mayor Duggan's relentless commitment to all of Detroit is exemplified through his personal involvement and in his second term as Mayor with a focus on "One Detroit for Everyone."

Tickets for the 29th annual Tribute Breakfast are $150 per person or $1,500 for a table of 10. There are also special $10,000 and $5,000 Santa Circle tables available. Additional corporate sponsorships are also offered.

For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Detroit Goodfellows director Sari Klok-Schneider at (586) 775-6139 or sarigoodfellows@gmail.com. Tickets may also be purchased here.
