Services for Older Citizens Names New Director

GROSSE POINTE FARMS — The Board of Trustees of the Services of Older Citizens, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping senior citizens of the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods, has named the Rev. David Dieter as its new executive director.

Dieter has more than 40 years of experience leading a nonprofit organization, including more than 10 years as CEO of St. Luke’s Health Ministries/Canterbury on the Lake, a senior community in Waterford. He is currently director of the Lake House, a cancer support organization in St. Clair Shores. Dieter also spent 10 years as the senior associate rector and later lead priest at Christ Church Grosse Pointe.

Dieter holds a bachelor’s in sociology and psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master’s degree from General Theological Seminary in New York, and a doctorate from the Graduate Theological Foundation, Christ Church College in Oxford, England.
