Justin Winkelman is a fourth-generation Detroiter, whose roots in the region reach back to when his Great-Grandfather was a traveling merchant between Detroit and Port Huron in the late 1800's and later settled in the picturistic UP setting of Manistique. His Grandfather, Isadore moved to Detroit from Manistique in while still in his teens and subsequently co-founded the Winkelman's apparel stores with his brother Leon with a shop on Fort Street in 1928. Justin recently has been developing additional concepts related to the brand behind the scenes. After spending a decade in the financial industry, he became a corporate executive for an Inc-500 fast-growing company by running their national call center operations and also focusing on corporate development.
