The Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn will honor Steven Kiefer, senior vice president of global purchasing and supply chain at General Motors Co., with its Distinguished Service Citation at its 2018 Induction and Awards Gala. The ceremony will be held on July 19 at the MGM Grand Detroit. Kiefer will be honored for his work to end distracted driving through the Kiefer Foundation.
Mayor Mike Duggan has announced the appointment of Arthur Jemison to the newly created position of chief of services and infrastructure, which is part of a reorganization designed to promote improved coordination between city departments. Jemison will leave his position as director of housing and revitalization department, with Donald Rencher replacing him.
