Bedrock in Detroit Launches Ford’s Chariot Transit Service, Plans to Add Public Usage

Detroit-based Bedrock, the real estate arm of the Rock Family of Companies, today announced it will offer its employees Ford Motor Co.’s Chariot microtransit service for use during their commutes to and from work. Initial plans call for Chariot to run its 14-passenger, WiFi-enabled Ford Transit vehicles along three routes, with daily operating hours from 7am - 9am and 4pm - 7pm.

American Cancer Society’s 2018 Cattle Baron’s Ball

The American Cancer Society hosted its 2018 Cattle Baron’s Ball on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. More than $880,000 was raised as guests enjoyed a strolling dinner and desserts, a silent auction, live music, mechanical bull riding and other southwestern-inspired fun, and an afterglow. The American Cancer Society funds and conducts cancer research, shares information, and supports cancer patients.

Detroit-based Little Caesars today announced it has completed the installation of its Pizza Portal pickup in nearly all of its U.S. stores. Customers are now able to order and pay ahead, then bypass the counter and pick up their food from the Pizza Portal pickup.

Detroit Office Building Next to Cobo Center Goes up for Auction, Property Could be Developed for a Hotel

A three-story office building in Detroit’s central business district located across W. Congress Street from Cobo Center will be up for auction Sept. 25 to Sept. 27. The white terra cotta and brick building was appraised for $5 million earlier this year, and the starting bid is $1.2 million.
